How tuition works

What sets tuition, what the extras are for, and where to find our figures.

  • What sets tuition

Tuition is set by the dancer's age, the class and the days a week they come. Most dancers take one class a week. Our figures are on the registration page, where you can see them before you decide.

    • Age and class

    • Days a week

    • Class length of 30 to 45 minutes

  • Registration

A yearly registration covers your dancer's file, the studio's insurance and your place in the class. It is due when you register, and we ask for it once a year.

  • Billing

Tuition is billed monthly by autopay, or once for the whole session if you would rather pay that way. Costumes and the May recital are billed separately, before the recital.

  • Missed classes and make-ups

A missed class can be made up in another class for the same age within the same session. Message the studio and we will find a time that suits you.

  • Uniforms, costumes and other costs

There is one simple costume for the May recital, ordered in the winter and billed before the recital. The recital asks a production charge for each dancer, and guests need tickets. Shoes and dancewear are bought by the family, and we help with sizes in person.

  • Help with tuition

Curtsy sets aside a few places each session for families who need help with tuition, as a scholarship or in exchange for lending a hand at the studio. Ask Tehya, privately, on the registration page.
