Classes

Two classes for small dancers

Every class has a hello circle, a song, something across the floor and a goodbye. Most dancers take one class a week.

  1. A preschooler stepping into a floor hoop while the teacher kneels beside them
    Ages 2 to 401

    Creative movement

For ages 2 to 4: scarves, hoops, a story and a song, in a circle of up to 10 twos or 8 threes and fours, with a grown-up waiting next door.

    Creative movement
  2. Two preschoolers twirling in tutus while their teacher kneels nearby
    Ages 3 to 502

    Ballet and tap

For ages 3 to 5: one class that is half ballet and half tap, with a first barre, first tap sounds and a short rhythm to clap at the end.

Starting out

Which class is right for my dancer?

Twos start with creative movement. Threes and fours can take creative movement or ballet and tap, and fives take ballet and tap. If you aren't sure, the teacher will tell you at the door.

How long is a class?

Thirty minutes for twos and forty-five minutes for everyone else, once a week.

Does my dancer need shoes?

Not for the first class. Bare feet or ballet slippers are fine, and tap shoes come later, when the teacher says.

Not sure where to start?

Try a class, and the teacher will tell you which one suits your dancer.
